A daughter's poem

This poem was written by my daughter, Jessica.

The Soldier

You are my hero
Doing what you are doing.
Leaving our family and
fighting for another
so that we may keep our freedom.
We live in the land of the free
because of the brave.
You are the brave.
You are my hero.
You are my father.

Thanks, sweetie.

I'm walking a little taller today.

If you encounter a "war skeptic" show 'em this---if you are disillusioned with today's teenagers show 'em this. Take a look world thru the eyes and heart of a 15 year old!! Pretty powerful!! Luv,Ps91

John, how very very proud you must be of your special children. It is because of the Love you and Amy have raised them with that allows them to express such wonderful thoughts. Everyone, rightfully so,is thanking you for the work that you are doing over seas to make the world a better place. I would like to also thank you for the parenting that you have bestowed on your children, which will also for generations to come, make this world a better place because of the special family that you have.
God Bless you and watch over you,
Love
Uncle Jim

So simple but so beautiful! There's something so powerful just about the words 'you are my father.'
